Round 5 Hare & Hound

Taylor Robert takes the win at a dusty round five of AMA Hare and Hound series at Sugarloafers MC, Utah.

 

KTM USA rider Taylor Robert had to come from behind after a poor start to take the win away from Kendall Norman at round five of the AMA Hare and Hound series in Jericho, Utah.

Pro class

At the drop of the flag, Ryan Smith got the jump ahead of Kendall Norman in the Pro class but it was Nick Burson who charged through for the holeshot – Norman took no time getting through the dust to take the overall lead though. With a poor start, round four winner Taylor Robert had a mission in the dusty Utah conditions to make his way forward.

At the end of the first 42-mile lap, Norman had a 1:15 lead ahead of Robert, Burson, Smith, Pro 250's Joshua Knight. 

Over the next lap, Robert not only made the pass for the lead after a mistake from Norman, but went on to gap the competition by nearly 3:30. An ecstatic Robert came through the flag with yet another win, with Burson and Norman rounding out the podium.

Pro 250 

Joshua Knight put on an impressive performance on his home turf, leading the class from start to finish. Sugarloafers MC rider Daemon Woolslayer also capitalized on his knowledge of the terrain, chasing Knight in second place ahead of class points leader Chance Fullerton.
